Dale Sisson is Vice President,
Integrated Defense Systems at Global Technical Systems (GTS), where he leads
the company’s Integrated Defense Systems Division based at the Dahlgren, VA
site. In this role, he guides strategy
across GTS’s defense and security portfolio and leads efforts to integrate the
company’s advanced weapons platforms, high-performance computing systems, and
next-generation combat system capabilities with emerging U.S. Department of
Defense requirements. As a member of the GTS Executive Team, he works closely
with company leadership to advance corporate growth, strengthen customer and
partner engagement, and expand GTS’s technical capabilities, including in
Engineering Services.
Mr. Sisson retired from the
Department of the Navy as a member of the Senior Executive Service, completing
seven years as a senior executive and 28 years of civilian service. His final
Navy assignment was as Technical Director for the Naval Surface Warfare Center,
Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD), where he led a workforce of more than 5,200 and
managed a $2.6 billion portfolio of research, development, test, and
engineering for complex naval weapon systems. Prior executive assignments
include Executive Director of the Naval Ordnance Safety and Security Activity
(NOSSA), Chair of the Department of the Navy’s Weapon Systems Explosives Safety
Review Board (WSESRB) and Executive Director for Surface Combatants in PEO
Ships, He also served as the Navy’s Chief Systems Engineer under the Deputy
Assistant Secretary of the Navy for Research, Development, Test &
Engineering (RDT&E). Mr. Sisson
began his career working in industry as a Manufacturing Engineer and Machine
Designer.
A licensed Professional Engineer
in Virginia, Mr. Sisson holds both a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering and an M.S.
in Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech. His career achievements have been
recognized with two Department of the Navy Superior Civilian Service
Medals. Mr. Sisson is a member of the
Distinguished Alumni Academy of Virginia Tech’s Grado Department of Industrial
and Systems Engineering.
A native and lifelong resident of
King George, VA, Mr. Sisson is deeply committed to public service and community
leadership. He serves on the Board of Directors for the Fredericksburg Regional
Military Affairs Council, served three terms on the King George County Board of
Supervisors, held numerous county and regional leadership positions, coached
youth sports, and served on the board of his local YMCA. He continues to serve
today as a deacon and discipleship group leader at Round Hill Baptist Church.
