Mike Danjczek
Director of Engineering
Mike
Danjczek has worked on defense and national security-related projects for more
than 15 years. His areas of expertise include systems and software engineering,
real-time systems development, SCADA and control systems, simulation, risk
management, and cyber risk mitigation.
Mike serves as the GTS Director of Engineering.
After joining GTS, he became lead engineer and key personnel on U.S. Navy
Programs. He has led engineering teams through design, qualification, technical
insertion and sustainment for combat, surveillance and command-and-control
systems for the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Homeland
Security (DHS). Before serving as the GTS Director of Engineering, Mike served
as an Engineering Manager and a Senior Systems Engineer.
Mike served as a Systems Engineer and Production
Engineer at Northrop Grumman for almost seven years. He designed and produced
simulations to reduce workload on submarines and increase sortie rates on
aircraft carriers. On control systems, he performed source code inspections,
supported performance and qualification testing. Mike developed reports and
mitigations for cyber vulnerabilities of control systems, among other roles.
Mike is involved with the 4Kids charity, the Cosmopolitan
Club of Norfolk, Virginia, and the American Diabetes Association. He is an avid
golfer and co-architect for the redesign and environmentally responsible
restoration of the Owl’s Creek golf course and sanctuary in Virginia Beach, VA.
Mike holds a Master’s degree in Management of
Information Technology from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor’s degree
in Business Information Technology from Virginia Tech
